What should I bring? Please bring water. Our netting provides some shade but as cherry season is in the height of summer, it can get very hot outside under the sun. We have some cold soft drinks and water available for purchase. You can also bring a bucket or something to pick into. We have buckets for sale for $2 to take home with your cherries in them or you can borrow one of ours. We'll give you a biodegradable bag (so we can weigh your fruit) to take them home in.
-
What should I wear to the orchard?Sensible Clothes, Shoes and Hat. Wear clothing that protects you from sunburn and shoes with a good grip. Wear sunscreen. If we could offer you only one tip for picking cherries, sunscreen would be it.
-
Is there somewhere nearby for lunch? While there are no on-site facilities, you're welcome to bring a picnic with you for after you've finished picking cherries. There are shady spots outside the orchard where you are welcome to set up your chairs and rug to enjoy our wonderful Adelaide Hills views. Please bring your own food and drinks. We love to see you enjoying your family time, but please think of others and take your rubbish away with you.
-
Is there parking at the orchard? We have ample parking close by, adjacent to the orchard. Please drive safely and slowly, and follow reduced speed signs on the track.
-
Is the orchard wheelchair accessible?Yes! However, the orchard is sloping with rough grass, so if you require a wheelchair or walker please email or call us to arrange a time where we are best able to offer assistance.
